Authenticating the Brand You Trust

Valplast® is the brand of flexible partial that you have always known and trusted. We are pleased to introduce our new authentication program to help you identify when your lab is using genuine Valplast® material.

 

Flexible partials aren’t exactly new - Valplast has been making them since 1953. But with so many new denture materials trying to make a name for themselves, how do you know that your flexible partials are being fabricated from genuine Valplast® material?

 

We recently added serial numbers to our guarantee certificates to provide an extra level of traceability on Valplast® products, giving you assurance that your lab is using only Valplast® for your flexible partials. Now, patients can also register their Valplast® partials online to activate their lifetime-limited warranty.

 

About Our Material

Two dental technicians, Arpad and Tibor Nagy first invented the flexible partial denture in the early 1950’s in their laboratory, Master-Touch Dental Lab. The product was named Valplast® and a new company, Valplast International Corporation was created to promote the product to dentists and dental technicians around the world. In the nearly six decades since it was first invented Valplast® has been used in millions of successful clinical cases worldwide. Not all brands of flexible denture are the same and it is important to know the differences that can be exhibited amongst them.

 

Some of these differences include:

  • Flexural modulus at body temperature
  • Ability to resist breakage and deformation in high deflection (clasp) and low deflection (masticatory load) situations
  • Color, translucency and aesthetic properties of the material
  • Water absorption and ability to resist staining
  • Clinical experience and history

  • Biocompatibility & cytotoxicity

In several university studies Valplast® has been shown to have ideal physical and aesthetic properties for use as an all resin based dental prosthesis 1,2 When compared to other brands of flexible resin, Valplast® has been proven to be free of breakage and fracture and to possess an optimal flexural modulus at body temperature.

 

Valplast® resin is sold to dental laboratories in pre-dosed, pre-packaged cartridges that have all undergone strict quality control in production thanks to our expertly managed, ISO 13485 certified quality management system. Valplast® is FDA registered, CE certified, and certified by the health ministries of many foreign governments including Japan, Russia and Korea.

All of these factors combine with our six decades of experience in the field of flexible partial dentures to provide you with a premium product you know you can trust.

 

How Authentication Works

With our new authentication program you will now be receiving a serialised Certificate of Guarantee with every Valplast® appliance that you prescribe. When we produce Valplast® resin cartridges they are packaged with an equal number of guarantee certificates for delivery to the dental laboratory. The dental laboratory will then process the Valplast® appliance and include the Valplast® Certificate of Guarantee with every case for delivery. When your office receives the case be sure to look for the Valplast® Certificate of Guarantee. The certificate contains important patient care information and also information on how to insert, adjust and polish a Valplast® appliance. Most importantly, the certificate contains a unique 25 digit serial number that can be used to identify the appliance as a genuine Valplast® restoration. Your patient can then use this serial number to register the appliance on our website, REGISTRATION,  and activate their lifetime limited warranty on the product.
